The Vinoy Golf Course is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The golf course sits in a residential area 1.7 miles away from the Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg Resort on beautiful Snell island. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the Club for its guests is provided by the resort. An ornate, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse overlooking the golf course houses a restaurant, bar and fully stocked pro shop.
The course as we know it today dates to 1992 and was designed by Ron Garl.
The course is located on picturesque Snell Isle, just minutes from the resort. Its clubhouse is another historic treasure, an ornate collection of Spanish and Moorish Renaissance influences that was once a section of a European palace and was brought to St. Petersburg in 1925 by local developer Perry Snell. Designed as a replica of a mosque and open-air market, it features minarets, heavily bracketed cornices, horseshoe and keyhole arches and onion domes.
